Understanding Delivery

Our new delivery feature is a powerful tool that allows merchants to create and manage custom delivery rates through a user-friendly interface. When customers go to the cart page, they will be able to choose a delivery date, time and other options of preference through our new Cart Widget, and once reach the checkout, the application will display all the valid delivery rates, created by the merchant based on the conditions set in the new Delivery Page.

A delivery rate typically includes:

  • Title: Assign a unique name to your carrier rate for easy identification.

  • Price: Set the base price for the delivery service.

  • Origins: Specify the Shopify stores from which products will be shipped.

  • Date Type: a delivery rate can be associated with days of the week or specific dates

  • Location Type: Assign unique location types to each delivery rate

  • Delivery Zones: specify zipcodes where delivery is and is not available. This also supports ranges.

  • Rush Delivery: Add any additional upcharges based on Order and Delivery Times.

Why Use This Delivery Feature?

One of the standout features of our delivery system is the ability to apply upcharges based on specific time constraints. For example, if a customer places an order by 10 AM for delivery at 11 AM, merchants can implement flexible pricing strategies:

Rush Deliveries: This feature is especially beneficial for merchants who handle urgent or last-minute orders. By allowing upcharges for deliveries requested on short notice, businesses can better accommodate customers needing quick turnaround times.

Custom Pricing for Time-Sensitive Orders: Merchants can create tailored pricing structures that reflect the urgency of the order. This means that if a customer requires faster service, they can choose to pay an additional fee, ensuring that they receive their items when they need them most.
